D.R.E.A.M. Fund Scholarship
The D.R.E.A.M. Fund was established to invest in the future of our children by providing college scholarships. We believe this to be a lasting memorial to those deputies who have made the ultimate sacrifice and died in the line of duty.
Two scholarships are provided each year to eligible applicants interested in pursuing a college degree. The scholarships, in the amount of $750 each, are renewable for up to four years if the applicant is still eligible and indicates to the board their intention of renewing their scholarship.
Applicants must be:
- a high school senior who is a dependant of a member in good standing with the Milwaukee Deputy Sheriffs’ Association; or
- a high school senior who is a direct descendant of a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office officer killed in the line of duty; or
- any high school senior entering college in the Law Enforcement field.
Applicants will be judged on their scholastic ability, leadership qualities, community service, and the preparation and articulation of a written composition.
